Los Angeles Film Festival
Los Angeles hosted the 17th instalment of the internationally recognized Los Angeles Film Festival. From June 16 to 26, the city was buzzing with more celebs and people who flooded the city to watch the films. This year, the LAFF takes an international focus on Cuba. The festival featured more than 200 films, shorts and music videos, with representation from more than 30 countries. Special guests, galas, conversations, discussions, opening, and closing-night parties kept the festival jumping with excitement. Entries included documentaries from hip-hop heavyweights A Tribe Called Quest and Erykah Badu. Films were infused with Middle Eastern, Cuban, Spanish and French-Canadian influences. This year’s films were eye-opening pieces tackling all sorts of topics. With more than 5,000 entries and thousands of viewers, everyone taking part in LAFF will be looking forward to a bigger and better festival next year.
